Why do I keep coming back year after year? For me, it’s kind of similar to the way people feel about weddings or getting married. Even if you hate the idea of weddings, you have everyone you love in the same room and from different parts of your life. It’s such a magical experience because you normally don’t get to have that. I feel that way about @toronto_fringe because it’s my industry that’s filled with my chosen family, people who I’ve made incredible bonds with. You give your heart to your art. No matter what level you are, whether you are an emerging or established artist, everyone comes to Fringe. This is the birth place of a lot of great shows, opportunities and self-produced work, which in a growing city with high rent, it’s very difficult to produce your art.
